Pull the PlugPlug is a song recorded by Death, a metal band, for their studio
album Leprosy. This particular album was released on November 16, 1988,
under the label Combat;the producer of the entire album was Dan Johnson.
Pull the Plug is part of the second album by Death, and this song, along with
others that were part of it, was considered to be a bit different in comparison to
the debut album which the band released in 1987.
It is the first time the producer and engineer Scott Burns has worked with
Death; during that era, Scott also worked with a number of death metal bands.
This album also features Bill Andrews on drums for the first time, and it is also
the only album in which guitarist Rick Rozz was present.
According to many critics and death metal fans around the world it is one of the
most important albums for the genre. On April 29, 2014, a three-disc
remastered version of the entire album, along with the inclusion of bonus
tracks, was re-released by Relapse Records.
Pull the Plug was also covered by Callenish Circle as a bonus on their Flesh
Power Dominion album, which was released in 2002. After that, Norwegian
band Zyklon also recorded this song and used it as a bonus track for their
album.

For the guitar chord lesson of Pull the Plug, we have asked Bobby Koelble to be
your guitar instructor. Bobby himself is a metal guitarist who has been playing
guitar for more than 30 years now. He first got his hands on guitar when he
commandeered his sister’s guitar at every opportunity he got. After that, when
he grew up as a teenager, he found a love for metal. He then went to Berklee to
play guitar like Al Di Meola, but there, he ended up becoming more of West
Montgomery.
After completing his musical education, he formed a band called Junkie Rush
and the Absinthe Trio; at the same time, he also started working as a freelance
guitarist. After a few years he had the honour of teaching jazz guitar techniques
to Rollins College and the University of Central Florida. Bobby, with his
experience in the metal genre, has divided this song lesson into just three
segments. In these segments, he will teach you about the solo version of the
song along with the song arrangement.
