While studying Economics and Political Sciences at Lahore University of Management Sciences, he released "Bachana" from his debut album "Umeed" on YouTube, which rose him to fame and earned him the "Best Singer" of 2010 and the "Best Song" of 2010. Soon, he was the most in-demand artist for universities and schools and even went on international tours. Shortly after his musical career started, he was called upon to sing for Coke Studio Season 4, marking his debut in Coke Studio. He returned to Coke Studio Pakistan again in season five and sang songs from his second album, "Maktoob." Apart from albums, he has also sung soundtracks for TV dramas and recorded a song for Levi's called Anjaane.
