Matt picked up a bass when he was 15 and hasnt left it since. Matt is a well-known professional bass guitarist from Florida. Hes been in the music education industry since 1990 and... has numerous accolades to his credit. Matt was featured on the Conan O'Brien Show as well as the Montreal Jazz and Blues Festival from 95 to 96 as part of Sony recording artist Poppa Chubby, a blues-rock trio. In the early 2000s, he was involved with an experimental funk/rock band called Florganism. Matt is a sought-after bass guitarist and plays regularly with various bands. As a member of the band called KOW!, Matt won the Orlando Weekly Music Award for Best Soul/Funk/R&B Band and Best Live Act. Playing with KOW!, Matt has shared the stage with the likes of James Brown and The Funky Meters. Since 2002, he's been the bass guitarist for Terri Binion & The Bible Belt Orphans, a Roots Country/Americana project. His weekly performances with another Jazz Fusion group, Absinthe Trio, have won numerous laurels. Matt has also been a member of Shak Nasti, a Jazz/Funk/Rock collaboration that is very active at music and art festivals.
