About the Song

This is The Beat It by Michael Jackson, but we are referring to it as Van Halen because Van Halen played the guitar in the same song. Eddie Van Halen was recruited to add his fiery touch by playing Beat It solo. He broke the band's rule to be a part of Michael Jackson's hit song Beat It, which was part of his 1982 album Thriller. The album, even to this day, is one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Lewas the man who recorded most parts of the guitar for the album, but for Beat It, producer Jones was looking for another guitar artist who could tackle the fast-paced Beat It solo with more oomph. The song fits right in the rock genre, making it stand out from all the other songs in the Thriller album. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed top for about three weeks. The song received the Record Of The Year award in the 1984 Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards. According to Rolling Stones magazine, Beat It ranks 337 in the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time list.

To give guitar lessons of Beat It, we have asked Bill Peck, one of the prominent names from our list of guitar instructors, to be your guide. He is known for his exceptional tapping technique and has a dedicated feature page in "Guitar-One" that teaches his playing style. He played as a lead guitarist for the "Exit The Ride" band, which
