I'm Not The Only One was released as the third single in the United Kingdom and as a second single in the USA. Furthermore, Sam Smith collaborated with American Rapper A$AP Rocky to develop an alternative version of the song.

This song has multiple layers of compositions, starting from a soul ballad, which is then anchored by orchestral strings and then forms a gospel structure. I'm Not The Only One to bring infidelity in relationships to light. The inspiration for the song came from the lives of someone both Sam Smith and Napes knew at that time.
