Moreover, as per sources, it is claimed that Ranbir Kapoor was so moved by the emotional depth of the track that he requested to record particular scenes live, with the track playing in the background instead of lip-synching. It added a touch of realism to the scene.

This song is known and loved for its emotional resonance and bittersweet and melancholic feel. The lyrics are poetic and heartfelt, expressing the pain of an emotional farewell to a beloved, making it an ultimate heartbreak song.
