About the Song

One of the greatest rock anthems of all time comes from one of the best rock bands of all time. Yes, this guitar song lesson is about Another Brick In The Wall by none other than the legendary Pink Floyd. This particular song is divided into three parts and was released as part of the album The Wall in 1979. Part one of the song describes the sadness of a child who later becomes a rock star.

The second part continues from "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives." This part is more of a rock opera disguised as a protest song against the cruelty of teachers who teach young kids in Britain. The 3rd part, considered the loudest and shortest of the trilogy, is "Another Brick In The Wall," in which the boy has now turned into an angry rockstar and his journey of the metaphorical wall, which he just completed.

To help you understand the chord progressions and playing style of this song, we have to call in big guns from our teacher's lineup. For this music lesson, we asked Mike Walker to share his musical prowess and guitar skills so that people could play this song with finesse on the guitar. Mike Walker was born in Philadelphia and started playing guitar at the age of 14. He then studied under John Dougherty and became a member of the Tri-State Club circuit.

After completing his studies, he moved to Orlando in 1992, where he formed the band World Wide Tribe. Then, after playing from 1998 to 2001 with the funk band Squeezable Hugo, he once again formed a band called Rule of 7 that went on to win Grammry's Unsigned Band Contest in 2005. With us, he has been producing tons of guitar tutorials and courses, in addition to 305 song lesson videos that you can find on our website.

You will be using the Dm, G, C, and F chord in this song lesson. In addition to this, the song is divided into 5 different segments, each section is completely separated from the next one so you can focus on learning one segment of the song at a time.
