The story of the movie is based on the French comedy film Après Vous. Ramesh Sippy, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Roopa de Choudhary produced the movie. The movie was shot under the banner of Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. The very first look of the movie was released on 2nd October 2012. After the movie was released, Bhushan Kumar said that it was a huge success in many different aspects.
